The year is 1976 and the concept of instant printing had become an accepted way of life in the business world. Print 1 opened its doors on the corner of 11th Avenue and Albert Street. For the next three years Print 1 enoyed a terffific growth, so much that expansion was reqiured. The storefront next door was rented. Both staff and equipment were added to keep up with the new demand. In 1982 Print 1 had again outgrown its premises. A decision was made to move the company one block east to the corner of McIntyre and 11th Avenue. The new location provided Print 1 with 3000 square feet, plenty of room for it’s additional equipment and its staff of seven. The next ten years brought many changes in technology with the arrival of southern Saskatchewan’s first colour copier to our premises. New words like desktop publishing and internet became industry buzzwords.
In 1993 Print 1 moved to its present location on the corner of Saskatchewan Drive and Retallack Street. The new location has provided our customers with ample parking in a central location and provided us with room for future expansion.
The years since our move have seen several changes to both the industry and our ability to keep up with our customers demands. The addition of a two colour press and a digitally connected environment provides us with the ability to handle most customer files, then send them to our new Colour Series 50 for printing. This new equipment allows us to print up to 12x18 size sheets on a wide variety of material such as card and glossy stocks.
For 28 years Print 1 has strived to stay on the leading edge of print technology while maintaining a personal touch that our small family run business can provide.
We believe our commitment to personal service makes us unique in today’s Business World.
